πΊFreyja's Paw Caravan
Freyja's Paw Caravan
"As long as caravans move, Freyja is not forgotten."
The Freyja's Paw Caravan is a traveling trade guild formed by the last spirit-cats that once pulled Freyja's chariot. After Ragnarok, shrines dimmed and roads grew dangerous, but the cats kept walking.
Now they hire adventurers to help restore the old Vanir trade routes, moving goods between towns and keeping the world connected.
Trading is one of the best ways to earn Ducats, Caravan Rank, and a steady flow of Zeny, if you know how the routes work.
π¦ What Is Caravan Trading?
Every town in Midgard, Jotunheim, and beyond produces four unique goods. You can buy these goods using Vanir Ducats and then sell them in other towns for profit.
Each town pays different prices. The secret to trading is simple:
β‘ Buy Low -> Travel -> Sell High
As your Rank increases, new opportunities open, including access to high-value luxury goods.
π° Currency: Vanir Ducats
Caravans don't use Zeny.
You trade using Vanir Ducats, ancient offering coins that still remember their divine value. You start with 500 Ducats, enough to begin your first route.
You earn more Ducats when:
You sell goods in profitable regions
You avoid ambushes
You plan smart routes between towns
Zeny is also earned passively from successful trading.
π Caravan Rank
Everything you sell gives Caravan Experience.
Ranking up increases:
The amount of cargo you can carry
Access to more expensive products
Better rewards from the Daily Road Oath
Some items are only available at higher ranks. For example:
Cheap goods -> always available
Goods worth 100~999 Ducats -> Rank 7+
Luxury goods worth 1000+ Ducats -> Rank 20+
π Cargo Capacity
Every good has a weight. Your cargo hold has a limit. If you exceed it, you cannot buy more until you unload.
Upgrading your Rank increases your max cargo.
Peasants get a small bonus, as they are naturally skilled laborers and road-hands, but any job can trade.
β οΈ Road Hazards: Bandit Ambushes
The richer your cargo, the stronger the scent of profit⦠and the more bandits are attracted to you.
Every so often on field maps, an ambush chance is rolled:
Low-value cargo -> low risk
High-value cargo -> much higher risk
If the bandits overpower you:
You lose some HP and SP
You may be struck blind for a short time
You lose a small % of your trade goods
If you defend successfully, you keep everything.
Caravan Rank and certain attributes, like AGI and DEX (only for Peasants) help you evade attacks.
π Where to Trade
Freyja's Paw Caravan cats operate in cities across the Midgard Realm:
Prontera
Morocc
Geffen
Payon
Alberta
Izlude
Aldebaran
Lutie
Comodo
Yuno
Rachel
Veins
Einbroch
Lighthalzen
Hugel
Each town sells its own local products and buys everything else at fluctuating prices.
π Daily Road Oath
Each day, the Caravan issues a trade challenge:
Earn enough profit in a single day
If you succeed, you receive:
Base EXP (Peasant exclusive)
Rewards based on your Caravan Rank
This is a great way to progress passively while learning routes.
π£οΈ Tips for New Traders
β Start with cheap items until you learn the routes β Compare prices before buying β Never carry more than you can afford to lose β Bigger profits come from longer routes β Rank up your Caravan Rank early, it opens the real money β If the roads feel unsafe, take a break and evaluate cheaper cargo
β¨ Roleplay & Lore Flavor
The Caravan is not just trade, it is remembrance.
Every Ducat you move, every road you travel, and every town you help connect whispers Freyja's name back into the world.
The cats believe:
"Trade is faith in motion."
When caravans move, the Vanir are never truly forgotten.
