📘 Status Effects Handbook

In The Nine Worlds, status effects are conditions that alter combat flow, either empowering or hindering a character. Some come from skills, others from enemies, shrines, or gear. They are central to strategy: managing them is often the difference between victory and defeat.


🔥 Conditions (Triggered Damage / DoT)

These effects cause damage under specific conditions. Many only trigger while the target remains above 5% HP.

Bleeding

If above 5% HP, the target loses (Caster Lv + 0.35 × INT) HP each time it performs a basic attack.

Burning

If above 5% HP, the target loses (Caster Lv + 1.2 × INT) HP each time it uses a skill.

Poison

If above 5% HP, the target loses (Caster Lv + 0.6 × INT) HP every second and HP regeneration is blocked.


❄️ Control & Immobilizing Effects

These effects restrict movement or actions.

Charm

Target follows the caster and cannot deal damage to them.

Chill

  • P.Def reduced (10% vs Players, 5% vs Monsters)

  • Movement Speed -20%

  • APM -10

Crippled

  • Agi -3

  • Flee -(10 × Skill Lv)%

  • Movement Speed -30%

Fear

  • Movement disabled

  • Hit and Flee -25%

  • Burns a portion of SP.

Frozen

Target cannot act.

Paralysis

Target cannot move.

Silence

Target cannot use skills.

Sleep

  • Target cannot act

  • Flee becomes 0

  • Incoming Critical chance doubled

Stun

Target cannot act.

Soul Imprison

Target is locked and immune to all damage except Ghost damage.


⚔️ Debilitating Effects

These weaken defenses, attacks, or healing.

Abyss Touch

  • P.Def and M.Def -20%

  • Incoming Healing -(12 × Skill Lv)%

Blind

  • Hit -50%

  • Flee -25%

Broken Armor

Total P.Def and M.Def reduced by 50%.

Critical Wound

Blocks HP regeneration and reduces healing effectiveness.

Curse

  • P.Atk and M.Atk -25%

  • Luck becomes 0

  • Movement Speed greatly reduced.

Prey Mark

  • P.Def reduced (5 + 5 × Skill Lv)%

  • HP Regen reduced (10 × Skill Lv)%

Provoke

P.Def and M.Def reduced (20 × Skill Lv)%.

Weaken

Reduces Physical or Magical Attack by (10 × Skill Lv)%.

  • P.Def +(5 + Skill Lv)

APM +10.

Assumptio

  • HP Regen Rate +(10 × Skill Lv)%

  • Incoming Healing +(5 × Skill Lv)%

Blessing

  • Increases resistance against Shadow element and Demon race

  • Healing received +(4 × Skill Lv)%

  • Weapon gains Holy element

Defense Boost

Either P.Def or M.Def +(5 + Skill Lv).

Divine

INT and LUK +Skill Lv.

Dexterous

  • P.Atk +(1 + Job Lv ÷ 2)

  • APM +(5 + Job Lv ÷ 2)

Endure

Prevents flinching from attacks (Skill Lv × 20 resistance).

Enduring

Gear P.Def and M.Def +(5 + Job Lv).

Expiatio

Pierces P.Def and M.Def by (5 × Skill Lv)%.

Fortune

  • Crit Rate +(2 × Skill Lv)

  • Crit Damage +(4 × Skill Lv)%

Gloria

Vit and Luk +2.

Hallucination Walk

  • Perfect Dodge (125 − 25 × Skill Lv)

  • Chance to avoid magical damage (25 × (Skill Lv − 1))%

Hermod’s Grace

  • AGI +3

  • Move Speed +(5 + Skill Lv)%

Howl of the Abyss

P.Def +(0.05 × Max SP).

Hunter’s Focus

  • Ranged Damage +25%

  • Critical Rate +10

Impositio Manus

Weapon and Magic Attack +(2 × Skill Lv).

Kyrie Eleison

Creates a barrier absorbing (Skill Lv + 6 hits) or 25% Max HP, whichever comes first.

Magnificat

SP Regen Rate +(20 × Skill Lv)%.

Mighty

  • Strength +(1 + Job Lv ÷ 4)

  • Normal melee attacks gain +50% flat damage

  • Chance to deal +150% damage

Morale Boost

Max HP and Max SP +(4 × Skill Lv)%.

Song of the Hearth

  • M.Def +(10 + 2 × Skill Lv)

  • Max HP +(5 + Skill Lv)%

  • HP Regen +(10 + 2 × Skill Lv)%

Stormshade Pact

Perfect Dodge +(6 × Skill Lv).

Storm’s Benediction

  • SP Regen +(10 × Skill Lv)%

  • Move Speed +(2 × Skill Lv)%

  • Effect doubles if the target has Blessing.

Well Rested

  • Max HP and Max SP +5%

  • HP and SP Regen +10%

Whistle

Wind Walk

  • Flee +(4 × Skill Lv)

  • Move Speed +(Skill Lv)%

Zephyr Ward
